FOCUSING ON SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY AND PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS

Since 2003, the Hallinan Law Firm has represented its clients in all aspects of civil litigation, but has recently narrowed the scope of its practice to focus on Social Security Disability and Personal Injury claims. We have successfully represented hundreds of people in their efforts to obtain disability benefits and/or just compensation for their personal injuries and wrongful deaths caused by motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, dram shop, and assaults. We assist our clients in obtaining the medical care and evaluations essential to their claims and to the improvement of their lives.

HOW TO APPLY FOR SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY

Hallinan and Associates makes it easy for you

Hallinan Law Firm can help you with your application process from the beginning. However, applicants can apply in person, without a lawyer or representative, through their local Social Security Administration offices, through the mail, or on-line at the Social Security Administration Web Site. To successfully apply for Social Security Disability benefits, the applicant must compile detailed and accurate information about their injury or illness; medical records (including the names, addresses, phone numbers and dates of service for all doctors, therapists, hospitals, clinics which provided you care); work history (for the past 15 years); and life style (education, family, hobbies), in the manner in which Social Security Administration requires, during a time in their lives when they must also deal with high levels of pain and stress. The application process is difficult and often disappointing as more than 60% (and some have estimated as high as 79%) of the initial applications for disability are denied. However, approximately 60% -70% of these denials are eventually successful in having their claims accepted after either reconsideration or via a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge. Lawyer representation can greatly increase your chances of success at the reconsideration or hearing level. The Hallinan Law Firm provides assistance in obtaining the medical records and other information required from their physicians and then in presenting the evidence to Social Security in a manner which can facilitate determination for eligibility.
